Fly free little bird,
Fly free, spread your wings,
Soar over the seas,
Over rivers and things.
Fly free little bird,
In storms stay serene,
Soar over high mountains.
Don't declare what you've seen.
Keep secret your islands,
Let friends light your way,
Fly free little bird,
Little bird, live today.
Freedom is best expressed by the visual of wings spread. The opposite being grounded or imprisoned and as the saying goes to have your wings clipped. The wish is not lost upon me. New things, new places, new possibilities and in the poem it is half wish and half warning. In storms stay serene. Storms of course are of any kind. Don't declare what you've seen!
