Riding on the waves of time,
galloping on the breeze of uncertainty,
unsure about the future,
miserable about the past,
and doubtful about present decisions,
I find solace in little things,
small and trivial though they may seem,
In truth they are the most beautiful,
a butterfly colouring my world,
a ladybird crawling across my palm,
the grass feeling like a cool mattress,
as I lie under the smiling sun,
and the clouds, so white,
as I mould them into fluffy shapes,
the world comes alive,
with the chirping of the birds,
as they fill the air with their song,
I sing along,
and hum to their tune,
a smile comes on its own,
forces its way through the sad demeanor,
that grips us all,
and renders us lifeless,
the sun breathes life with each ray,
and gives so many reasons to be happy,
in the little things in life,
all that is left for us to do,
is notice!
