Living In The Past Poem by Daniella Burke

Living In The Past

Watching.
Waiting.
Hoping.
For something never happening.
Lied to me.
Now dead to me.
Obviously not meant to be.
Your actions are questioned.
Never to be solved.
It makes me wonder...
Was I ever loved?
Breaking my heart.
Never wanted us to be apart.
Even so, you're gone.
Leaving me all alone.
Locked up in my room.
No idea what to do.
Battling myself like a fool.
Why won't you come back to me?
You're supposed to be my father.
There with me forever.

I really liked the flow of this poem as well as its message. Its tone was very good throughout and it made me feel very sad. Amazing poem, sad situation.
