Memories reserved in our minds
Those events buried in our hearts
Thoughts and ideas of friendship
Or experiences of life and love
As the casual joyful encounters
A friendly smile, routine greeting
Or a glance of acknowledgement
May live in our hearts a lifetime
Bowing to the bidding of death
But those we dare to write down
Or speak to another in a whisper
May survive yet a thousand deaths
Passing from one person to another
Friends, acquaintances or strangers
As words of encouragement or hope
A legacy of lasting love or friendship
