Living, Where Life Lives

Through wickedness, one hopes winning
A self deluded prize
Though hearing of God, while sinning
To shame, we turn our eyes

Through wanton lust, disbelieving
The one true God on high
We'll walk with devils deceiving
Still clad in shame to die

Awake! slumbering soul, awake!
Look deep inside to see
Through wilful sin; make no mistake
Burning in hell, you'll be

Too late, is never, while breathing
Contrite souls of mankind
Though selfish, one's heart's still seething
Love's eyes are far from blind

Come to Salvation, climb, life's' Mount
Eat of God's Word alive
Come thirsty soul, drink from life's Fount
Let living Water revive

Will God not forgive, those turning?
Would Jesus die in vain?
Rather lives saving, from burning
Lost souls, to rise again

To life, never yet lived before
To wash, in true life's Stream
To live with keys, through Heaven's Door
Beyond one's wildest dream

Will you be one, like me, my friend?
Once soaked, full filthy sin
Let Christ before your journey's end
Guide endless life to win.....
