Lockdown Hoarder Poem by Phil Soar

Lockdown Hoarder

We have so many tea bags, since lockdown has begun
So many rolls of toilet paper, that someone must have none
My partner hoards most everything, so 'Buy one, get one frees'
Are stored in every household room, and higher than my knees
You can't move in the bathroom, for antibacterial gel,
Air fresheners by the hundreds, that make the rooms all smell
Toilet wipes and baby wipes, you'd think we had ten kids
She buys the stuff from ebay, and is always making bids
I think I'll hold a garage sale, it's full of old soap bars
It's from the last pandemic, you know, the one china called SARS
I'm told we'll never want for much, we've got it by the ton
Unless of course we all drop dead, and covid will have won
