Locked Away Within Poem by David Harris

Oh, Lord I come to you each morning
to bless the brand new day.
I come to you to guide
my family and me
so that we won’t stray
from the path that you have chosen
for our future salvation.

So with my prayers I ask you,
walk with me each day.
From the morning sunrise
to the evening sunset.
Take me to your side
as the light begins to fail.

And during the darkness
when sleep invades my head,
my soul will you keep.
Help me to defend my soul
should someone try to steal it
and all the feelings
that are locked away within.
