Lonely Balcony
It's nearly 2 in the morning, and I'm sitting outside on the balcony
Thinking of you as I gaze silently at the stars in the sky
The water is calm, everything's quiet and the lights are off
But I just can't get to sleep no matter how hard I try
In the distance, I can see nothing but an ocean polluted with darkness
The cold breeze goes through my body, making me feel so alone
Usually when I stay up late, I always have you to spend the hours with
So it's rather depressing to know that for tonight, I'm on my own
I'm aware that we haven't known each other for very long
But honestly, I already see you as a close and caring friend
It takes someone really special to me to be dedicated a poem
And I just can't wait to talk to you again when I get back on land
But for now, all I can do about missing you is wait for time to pass
Coz physically, we're seperated by thousands of miles of sea
However, at least it hasn't been that much of a painful night
As spiritually, you've been here by my side all along, keeping me company
