Longing Poem by Ozark Mountain Homegrown

Longing

The pale moon shines so soft and low
Casting shadows through my weary heart
This suffering, you can not know
This pain I feel when we're apart

Swinging softly in the tree
The cool night air caresses me
Hugged so gently by the breeze
It soothes and comforts tenderly

The branches bow so deep and low
As if they recognize my pain
And just like raindrops, tears will flow
Until once more, we meet again
