Longing Poem by Reanna Thornton

Longing

Rating: 4.5

The night is long and cold
The days are harsh and unforgiving
And pain paves the roads.
I long for peace.

Compassion burns away
In the mid-day sun
And lonely souls are lost.
I long for joy.

The lan is frozen and bare,
Raging wars scar the heart
And blacken the mind.
I long for love.

Can it be found?

I believe it can be
And I believe I have found it.
It lies in the heart of a man
And it is a sight to behold.

Imagine finding someone
That holds thos qualities
And many more not named.
And he calms the storm.

So many similarities
And so much common ground
That it makes one think
They are seeing a reflection of themselves.
