Looking Back Poem by David Blake

Looking Back

Up’s and downs, dreams and doubts,
morning dancing in your eyes.
Something special in the sunrise, they
way you always seem to smile.
Living like we might never die,
dancing in the soft gentle rain making
every sorrow wash miraculously away.
Long walks, mazy wanderings lost in
blissful youth, loving deeply and often.
Telling each other all the reasons why
we would forever stay this way, neither
of us believing this lie. With nothing
better to do but watch time slowly pass by
we were content to live our lives out
foreverin this way.
