Looking Back
(Sev Meyer)
A backward glance may help improve
Perspective in a hardened heart,
By bringing to the fore
In seconds, minutes, hours and more,
Relivings of life’s early times
Before the ravings in a world gone mad,
Had time to skepticize and shove me
Down a road I’d never choose,
An endless road with winding twists,
Confusing contours I admit
Which only now I’ve come to see
Are really oh so arrow straight
Compared to how they’re seen
By other eyes.
