Love scales steep and dizzy heights,
Crosses deep oceans and perilous seas,
Vaults across vales of forests green,
Treads through desert storms on sandy dunes,
Plays those plaintive melodious tunes,
Jumps into the rapids if need be,
Cuts the wrist to draw out crimson blood,
As proof of its veracity.
