Love - Poem by Shane P. Grant

And you,
The primordial beast,
Dare her to take her knickers off.
The satin dress she wears highlights every familiar contour.
Upon returning she rustles in her tiny bag for her phone
And you,
The excitable child
Behold purple lace all scrunched up
Cheeks ever so slightly raised into an almost innocent grin
One mere bite of her bottom lip and flicker of her eye-lids
And you,
Are hers
