Love Boat Poem by Summer Sandercox

Love Boat

Rating: 3.0

She's moving on today, they said
She's leaving the past behind.
She's picking up and shoving off
Before she loses her mind.
I heard she left a lover
At the dock down by the bay
But didn't take a second glance
Just kept up on her way.
She's such a tough one, they cooed
I envy her strong willed heart
She doesn't know where she's going
But leaving him was a good start.
She heads out towards the horizon
Without second thoughts at all
She's such a smart young girl, they said
For not letting him make her fall.
I wish her best, of course
She's got rough waters ahead
Though things should get smoother
But it takes some time, they said.
