i've always dreamt of poems
and words i cannot say
so night falls, my eyes close
but my heart would pray
for you to come along and
draw a kiss on my forehead
to kneel, hold my hand
and rest beside my bed
to look at you and touch
your soft trembling lips
to contemplate your silence
and enjoy the bliss
I let you reach deep
inside my empty heart
plant love and hope
of an awaited bright start
you look at me and
let out a quivering sigh
your breath strokes my cheek
like a naughty butterfly
you whisper in my ears
a secret i always knew
and then i whisper back
'i love you too'
