Not the road
she wanted to travel
a deliberate diversion
an obsession
to wring out a confession
to assure her
she was beautiful
they thought she did
for the pay
but questioned
her sense of cents
taking you for what you had?
She lost alot of sleep
a guilty soul
was her by another eye
another eye and another mouth
that would curse her
for bedding every man
another ear that never
heard her reason/
what she had protected
all her life
a man took by force
a man she trusted
a man that watched her breast grow
a man she called father.
