Love from Creation's dawn is sacred,
Through it, He manifests all His attributes.
Love is not an event -
It is the mother of all divine attributes.
Those who are engulfed by it, they truly live.
He is Love, love is His ancient attribute.
Love is the innovator and inventor of all things.
The beginning of all things is love.
When in beginning He wanted to appear,
He manifested Himself through love.
In what appeared by His command,
Love is its melody and brilliance.
O wonders! Love is Lam -
It is a connector between the 'Alif' and 'Mēm'.
Both are one in meaning -
No distance between, in meaning.
As long as there is 'Lam' in between,
There is no separation between 'Alif' and 'Mim'.
Love connects the master to servant.
What Master bids, it is love.
And what servant abides, it is love.
The fire of longing, and it's light are One.
Whether you are sleeping or waking,
You are living by power of love.
As a master He wields His Own power to Himself.
As a servant, He humbles Himself before Himself.
In all His manifested forms, Love only appears.
