Love Hurts Too Poem by Phil Soar

Love Hurts Too

Rating: 4.0

If I said I loved you this much
As I held my arms out wide
Would it really mean as much to you?
Would it keep you by my side?
Would you open up your heart to me?
And tell me I'm the one
Or would you leave me sad and blue?
The moment that you're gone

You seldom show emotion
And I find that oh so hard
Sometimes you write 'I love you'
On an open Birthday card
That's all it is, no spoken word
No other things express
If all I give you in return
Brings you happiness

But I'll still write my feelings down
No matter what this means
Telling you that you're the one
The answer to my dreams
And knowing that is good enough
I'll wait a little more
And hope you'll soon re-iterate
And not walk out the door
