Love Letter Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Love Letter

Rating: 5.0

My own beautiful darling
A very cute picture you make
When your dark eyelashes flutter
As from deep slumber you wake.

Our honeymoon is sadly over now
No more breathtaking smiles
And no-one to 'show me how'
Until I travel the familiar miles...
Over bomb-ridden pastures
And demolition galore ~
But at last I will be there
To greet your charm and allure.

Tomorrow again we will honeymoon
Magical romance is in store...
We will live years of perfect happiness
I'll be 'home-sweet-home' from the war.
