Love/Money Poem by Somniator Moon

We are two of the same
There’s no need to feel shame
Our hearts became entwined
Nothing wrong with that in my mind

Living in a world filled with greed
Loving each other is all we need
I would rather hold you in a long embrace
Than go out on a money chase

For when I leave this world I’ve grown
It’s important for me to be known
So on the day that I depart
I want to be imprinted in your heart

Money will never remember who I am
From evil they say it does stem
For in due course
Focusing on money leads to divorce

For some with money comes fame
People will remember their name
Only the ones interested in financial gain
The ones hanging around to see what they can claim

I want people to say
I touched them in a different way
Forever imprinted in their heart
On the day I do depart....
