Love Poem 2 Poem by Hunter James

Love Poem 2

You like it soft,
And I like it heavy
Let me mellow my bass drum
to fit your winter melody.
You like the sun
And I like the thunder
Let me part the distortion, and smile
a cherry coated blunder
You like ice cream
I like marijuana
Let's saturate our veins, I'll be your open rose
You just keep existing, my 3am nirvana
You have the uncanny ability to be a spring kiss
and a vomit on the lawn.
A scratch on my bullet proof heart
And a needle at dawn
I suffer headaches with or without you
So you may as well
clasp my palm
Because I hear
you
suffer headaches too.
