Love's Just Like That Poem by Kevin John Racaza

Love's Just Like That

There were troubles in my heart,
And times you gave them a headstart,
But I kept on clinging on to
That little thing I fell into.

I was aware of that sinking feeling
Or maybe I was just lost in thinking
About you, girl, every now and then.
I was faithful but you weren't the same.

That night, you called and I
Was quite happy to hear my
One and only one talk though far;
Apple of my eye - now, that's what you are.

But then your voice trembled.
Though once ecstatic, my spirit cowered.
The girl I completely knew - I thought
had a side to her, I know not.

We were meant to be, just you and me.
Those days we had now just a fleeting memory
Love's just like that, a game and you bet hard
If you lose, you must and should move forward.
