Love Strung Poem by sean alexander

Love Strung

If you wanted the stars
I would give you the moon
If you wanted a week
I would give you June
If you wanted a horse
Id give you the stable
If you wanted the truth
I wouldn’t tell you a fable
If you wanted a lake
I would give you a sea
There’s only one thing
That I ask that you give me
I don’t want a train,
A car or a plane.
I don’t want the world,
Or even the country of Spain.
I just want the thing that rattles my brain.
The thing that I want is really easy to see.
The only thing that I want is the key.
This key is to no door, lock or room full of art.
It is simply the key
The key to your heart.
