Love The Vine Poem by Lawerence Mize, Sr.

Love The Vine

Rating: 5.0

A glass of wine
At the end of the day
Dinner gone
Dishes all put away
Warm summer days
Yet to come
Got plenty of time
No need to run
Feels so good
Down in my soul
Wasting time
Just growing old
Got the wife
Here at my side
No need to be upset
No need to cry
Life is good
In this moment in time
Feels good to have
This contentment that's mine
I tip my glass
To all who care
To count their blessings
Who give and share
The wine is good
The day is done
Just us two
Me and my "Hon"

Absolutely beautiful my friend; what a beautiful life it sometimes is; or perhaps almost always is, if we slow down and observe and just simply be... great poem! ! !
