Loveless Love Poem by Janelle Morehart

Loveless Love

Rating: 5.0

I'm sinking
Drowning
I'm struggling
Losing
I'm hoping
Faithless
I'm trying
Failing
Whats happened to me
What made me this way
As I stand here today
Looking in the mirror
Only to see my world is bleak and gray
The marks are there
A daily reminder for me I'm sure
Of my love to him and only him
That I am always and forever his
Black and blue
Red and even purple
One mark after another
Oh I love him so much
I pity him
I feel sorry for him
And I love him even more
I see his love to me
I truly do
On the days after
He give's me another mark or two
My safety days
My loving days
A 24-hour haven
But my time's up and the game's in play
We shall see
How much I love him again today
