Lucid Illusions Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Lucid Illusions

I thought of you and got the biggest smile,
I envisioned, while you were sleep,
That I visted you in a dream,
And in that dream, everything became understood,
You became lucid, as you realised I grabbed your hand,
As the sand gripped your toes,
We ran for miles, as a smile appeared across your face,
One that I had never seen before,
At that point, I became lost,
Lost on the coast as the waters crashed against the shore,
Our eyes kissed as our lips thrist for more,
Again, I grabbed your hand as you became the breeze that caressed my face,
Not wanting to let go,
Enjoying bliss first hand,
In the isle of your eyes,
I kissed your lips as we became one,
Our hearts sailed along the shore of the ocean,
Scared at first, then the feeling kept behind our eyes became a safe guard, free falling into each others arms,
Seasons interchanged as each moment passed,
I envisoned, while you were sleep,
That I grabbed your hand and we just ran,
Miles shortened as the world began to fade,
You became lucid, as you realised I kissed your lips, upon a horizon you were mine
