Lucy In A Still Room Poem by Nicolas 'Kokonutz' Kokonas

Lucy In A Still Room

A small glimpse through the crack of the door and
Lucy,
was lost.
An eerie shiver and trembling overtook her
Not from what she saw inside the room
Hell, the room was empty of life like most times she had glanced
from the hallway
through that archway
into stillness…

But this time was different,
She did not see the room as it rested now
through her eyes but an
image of the future
where different shoes would be ageing in the hall
And so
Lucy,
slipped between the crevice made by the open oak door.

Not much later
Stood another pair of aging shoes
trembling at the sight
of a lifeless room…
