Luella... Poem by Robert Mutsaers

Luella...

I am, in the calmness of my sea,
Your pearl of beauty that longs within me.

Destined to become tomorrow’s tide,
A love with more peace in adorn sight,
I relentlessly give sorrow’s pride,
Above… myth or please in my born light.

I will, from the roughness of my dwell,
Expose all that one can tell,
With my life that is given to dawn and quell.

I shall, from the kindness of our line,
Aloof all that one can shrine,
With a life that is striven to win and benign.

Destined to become yesterday’s bright,
A love with pure ease in for-fight,
I relentlessly strife your star eye delight,
Above… with sure tease in lore height.

I claim, with my brightness and glee,
Your pearl of beauty that belongs within me.
