Lurking Thoughts



shes walked into my life
and left for no reason at all,
she came when i needed her least
and left when i needed her most,
she spoke promises
her heart couldn't keep,
meaning less words that portray
a different life.
resonating whispers lurk
deep within my thoughts,
they grab when i least expect
pulling me deeper inside myself.
