Madness Poem by David Wood

Madness

Rating: 5.0

The dictator's mind decides it must
Bomb a country until it's dust.

He thinks he has the mental clout,
But in the end it will come to nowt.

Despite all the meaningless words
It was only food for the birds.

Two sides talking, one deaf, one blind
Peace of any kind they failed to find.

Sanctions imposed came too late
And the Ukraine was left to an awful fate.

Politicians failed again with their pitiful cry
And left the flower of youth to fight and die. 🇺🇦

So well written, David. How terrible is a War! Even after going through so much suffering during World War 1 & 2, yet we plunge into another War. War 1 & 2

With David, we say good luck to the Ukrainians. Poetry stands with the oppressed. We say no to war, yes to peace and human fraternity. Thank you for this honorable stand and this masterpiece of poem, with 5*****
