Man Is Drunk

On earth my height cannot be seen
My depth can none perceive
I am the Lord I’ve always been
The One yet few believe

You try to see how I prevail
You search and reason why?
While steeped in sin, you’re bound to fail
Like all before, you’ll die

You marvel at mighty hand
You try to do the same
You think to know and understand
Yet still you die in shame

All knowledge comes through me alone
Your reasoning is mine
The wisdom that you call your own
I give to you as wine

Your drinking caused your head to spin
You’re drunk with thoughts unsound
You fall and stumble in your sin
Where darkness has you bound

Wake up! Now see the harm you’ve done
With all I’ve had to give
Repent, and look to Christ my Son
Through Him, I’ll let you live

Cast down your pride believe in me
Discard demonic wine
Accept The Truth that sets you free
Receive my Light and shine

My Spirit comes to teach, my child
To melt your heart of stone
Obey, and you’ll be reconciled
I’ll call you then my own.
