Men are from Mars
Women are from Venus
Someone once said.
War and Love
Mars and Venus
Those terms connote
Meanings that are far fetched
Into human living
We war everyday
With passions that burn
Within and without
And love equally ourselves
And those that love us in return
But our hearts are torn apart
By the pride of ourselves
As we battle in fierce determination
Not to lose what we prize most
Our self-dignity and respect
Whether we war or we love
The completeness of our integrity
Is what we in earnest
Determined to protect
No one wants to be shamed
Men are from Mars
Women are from Venus
Someone once said.
