I wish I had a Mask
I wish I had a mask
A mask to hide in
To hide my true emotions
Just to hide from myself.
I can always tell what
What I’m thinking
I don’t know why
I wish to hide them from myself
I wish I had a mask.

I want to hide
Hide my true identity
I think I’m ugly
I think I’m fat
So what I want is
Someone to confide in
A mask to hide in.

I’m so lost
I’m so confused
I tell my self one thing
Then I’m told another
So there for I get lost and confused
It shows in my eyes
I want to hide it from myself
From the rest of the world
To hide my true emotions.

The mask I want is black
Just blackness
So that I fall into nothingness
So I feel nothing at all
No fear
No intelligence
No confusion
No lost
No ugly
No senses
No nothing at all
Just to hide from myself.

I want someone to slap me
To take the mask off
Take it out of my life
So I can see and feel
I hope that they take me to a mirror
Make me say all those things
Say them to my own reflection
Tell me that their not true
Break through my barrios
Into my mind
Because I don’t…….

I don’t wish I had a mask
No mask to hide in
Nothing to hide my true emotions
And to never hide them from myself.
Although a mask is nice every once in a while
Maybe not all the time
But till that happens…
