Masked Poem by Patricia Denise Newman

Masked

An old lady stepped out her front door
She couldn't believe what she saw
Everybody was masked
"A new fashion" she asked
"It looks very odd that's for sure"

She went back inside quite perplexed
"Oh dear" she sighed feeling quite vexed
"It's a sign of the time
Will we now have to mime?
'Cos I've only just learned how to text"
