Masquerade

I've failed, I fear, this grim charade.
I've stumbled in this masquerade -
And I hear the shadows call my name.
My shallow emptiness to blame.
This ghost light barely haunts the stage,
As thought I'm prey to the unwritten page.
Yes, I saw the me you saw today.
And I was nothing more than a cliche.

Yes, we all seem to be depressed today. Is it the weather or the rotten political climate That take all hope away? Very well expressed and written. Good work. Feeling better?
