Mathematics Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Mathematics

Perpendicular eyes stare off the windows gleam,
Elementary to the sights viewed in thought.
A psychologist to heal the sick pain felt moments ago.
The hours spent in pain,
The tears that flowed like rain.
Trapped in the solace of a single thought,
Praying for the definition of again to fade into relapse.
A disagreement against torture, pain.
A single thought that increases urgency,
A quiet moment separated by distance.
The perpendicular eyes that stare out the windows gleam.
Segregated between happiness and the bitter emptiness of addiction.
A seductive release yet to be paid.
Eyes now opening with a bitter sting.
Tears that flowed like rain,
Puddles that grew in depth, divided by imbedded thoughts.
It's hard shouting upon ears, now deaf to existence.
A distant memory peering into the reflection of the windows gleam.
Doors closed silently upon an everlasting dream
The sudden shutter of hearts shattering.
Stimulating the deep swallows now stuck in the middle of the throat.
Untold stories with a different ending that imagined.
Expectation of forced thoughts.
Silent urges giggling in search of release.
Elementary to the subtraction of addition without a number to carry the one.
The perpendicular eyes that stare out the windows gleam.
Knowing the broken promise in the prism of your walk
