Matters None To Me Poem by Francis Duggan

Matters None To Me

Rating: 5.0

It matters none to me criticism or praise
Since they do not mentally deflate me or my hopes does raise
Of climbing up further on the social tree
In life you win some and lose some is how it seems to be
As long as people's opinions on me are not based on lies
And to character assassination does not give rise
With negative opinions on me I am able to live
And no offense taken and nothing for to forgive
Since I feel no aspiration for wealth and for fame
Praise and criticism I treat as the same
Why some people dislike those who criticize them one must wonder why
That we can learn from criticism is a fact they deny
It matters none to me criticism or praise
They do not mentally deflate me or my hopes does raise.

It's so inspiring. The poem tells one how to be a good human being for whom even criticism becomes an instrument of learning and self-improvement. Thank you, Francis. To MyPoemList. I feel no aspiration for wealth and for fame Praise and criticism I treat as the same
