May, The Lonely Month Poem by jhonny jean

May, The Lonely Month

You left me in May
Causing my heaven to gray
My sun battling the elements
And my gloomy moon crescents

You left me in May
My world frozen in still-day
I must softly endure the absence
And find strength in my silence

You left me in May
And I watched you fade way
In a mirage of heated sadness
As I thirsted for your happiness

You left me in May
But in my loneliness, I pray,
Should you find yourself castaway,
That God will help you find your way

As we part to separate ways
We remember our yesterdays
These memories conquer our fears
And dry our sorrow tears

You are leaving me today
But it is not goodbye per se-
Just a new chapter with sweet tears
A happy farewell between dears'
