May You Dance With The Fairies Poem by G.B. Smith

May You Dance With The Fairies

I have seen you stop on the street
and calm a crying child
or a homeless person

Whenever I kiss you
your tenderness floods through me
like a spiritual wind

There have been times
when your heart was broken
by a careless lover or friend

and still you forgive
and try to see the good
in all who come your way

It is for this reason that
I love your tenderness

and your lovely spirit
may you dance with the fairies
and talk to the moon

Sigh...
