Maybe Poem by Laurene Roup

Maybe

Maybe things were better the way they used to be
No one understood the relationship between you and me
You would make me confused
Like you didn't know who to choose

Maybe it's true
She's everything I'm not
Notivce I'm waiting
Don't make me wait forever

Maybe the way you feel on the inside
Isn't the way you're showing it on the outside
You're the one I love
As your love sank, mine stayed strong

Maybe this will turn around
The wait will end
Listen to what I said
And answer my questions

Maybe when you told me forever
Your twisted fingers decived me
When I said forever, I ment it
I knew we were ment to be

I love your flow. The story was great too. I loved how you describe him crossing his fingers when he told you 'forever.'.
