Mayor Who? Poem by Lawerence Mize, Sr.

Mayor Who?

The field is getting wider.
The race is heating up.
Who will take the lead?
Not wind up a losing chump.

Democrats are swarming
To get the Mayor's seat.
Yet no one is happy
Out in Baltimore's streets.

Everyone is worried.
Everyone is scared.
Will the City get a Mayor
Tough and hard as nails?

Tough to take the streets back.
Put the thugs on the run.
Tough to enforce the laws,
take away their guns.

No one wants Stop and Frisk.
Zero Tolerance is out to.
Criminals just laugh and shout,
"What you cops gonna do? "

Crime keeps increasing.
The City is a mess.
Who will finally take control
And let the cops do their best?

To whoever the new Mayor is,
All eyes will be on you.
Better get your act together.
There's so much work to do.
