Me 3 Poem by Sona Wilae

Me 3

The sun rises in gleeful suspense
enamored jewels expel new life
tomorrows vary...deranged scars
stare back through cracked mirrors

I dare not dream...dare not seem
fruitful, as breaths of disdain
stain memories of young hopes
wide scopes, minuscule brain
energy, stashing nary hope.

Free my black self-esteem
steady wobbled extremities
too weary to reach, walk, seek
warm solace...counting me too's

Me one, two, three...to infinity!
