Media Saturation Poem by Ian (John) McCleary (Son of the Cleric)

Media Saturation

I am forced to care what happens in the news, It tells me I should invest my time entirely on that subject, and give no thought to what else I have to do for the day. Like help my wife with the things she asks me to do around the apartment, and even to cut my nails.
My wife gave me a good bit of advice I have failed to take
Everything in moderation is her motto.
The hardest task is how to implement this. I am left in the state of the watchman curious about the next developments.
It's time I returned my focus to the things that are easily missed and overlooked in life.
Bringing new energies out of me.
While they find more scrollers to trap in their phones.
Oh, the day of easy to use technology. How to find a way out of it has been the question of our time. How to minimize the time we use it.
