Melancholy Evermore Poem by Aiden Florence

Melancholy Evermore

Enjoy other people’s desolation, if it eases your pain
Don’t even believe in what people have to say about what’s right and wrong
Many will say they care about how others feel, when they’re the one bestowing the ordeal

It’s been days since you last talked to him and your getting uncertainties
Once you walk through that door, you finally see the scenery that you never wanted to see
Now that you caught him cheating, what’s your next move going to be?
Second chances don’t matter people never change
So what are you waiting for, hurry up and kill him

As you run you scream what’s killing you the most,
About how he always said he’d care how you felt
And how it was all a lie

After a constant reiteration you don’t know what to believe anymore
Be still and know that they won't lie to you every single time

You finally meet a guy that matches your profile, only to find out his desires for suicide
Before you realize what’s going on, he’s already gone
Now your standing beyond his grave screaming things that he can’t hear
You can still feel him all around you, and you finally see the light

As you walk by where you first met him, you meet another guy that desires to be with you
Before it all begins you scream at him ‘I’m still alive’
He passes you a note…
‘ You can confide everything to me, it could be that I don’t listen to you’
What will you do now?
