Memories Of Yesterday Poem by Heather Burns

Memories Of Yesterday

Rating: 4.5

Etched on the pages of
my heart,
Summer days, holding
hands,

Building castles in
the sand.
Making plans, and you.

MEMORIES,
Etched on the pages of
my mind,
Balmy nights, youthful
flows,

Weaving magic as I go,
and you.

MEMORIES,
Of someone I used to
know,
Images in the long ago.

A name I can't forget,
I still think of you
and yet,

MEMORIES.

Tiny typographical error in line 16. The imagery is sharp.Maturity inserts authenticity into the art of looking backward in time. Very nicely done.
