Salvation is a love affair
A covenant of blood
God, reaching out with man to share
But few have understood
For who sees God as though divine?
Who does His perfect will?
We treat His blood like common wine
Just good enough to spill
Yet mercy, is the fruit of love
God’s gift to one and all
If when to Him we turn above
And seek Him when we fall
We’ll know to whom the Wind has blown
To whom God’s Spirit’s sent
For mercy heals when love is shown
When contrite hearts repent
God pours His grace like morning dew
His truth becomes so plain
Our lives become as though brand new
Through Christ we’re born again
Mercy’s the fruit, of love divine
Of this there is no doubt
I praise the Lord such grace is mine
What hope has man, without?
God’s love is true, His mercy’s real
We see it every day
So who know how the Lord must feel?
To see it thrown away
We must be true from this day on
Our every sin confess
Have faith in God and in His Son
True love won’t stand for less.
