Might Not Last. Poem by Carl Roussell

Might Not Last.

Rating: 5.0

You've taken it, your show,
as far as it would go;
yours, a life not meant to last.
Which memories to keep,
which one's to put to sleep;
let the past lie in the past.
Remember to nurture
what's almost here - the future,
though it too might not last

We never know what the future brings. We hope for better future but know sometimes it doesn't last.. I agree it is better to leave the bad in the past.....and take the good... something not always easy to do... A very insightful write.10! ! ! !

I agree, at times it is difficult to keep an open and mind and heart to the future, thanks for the comment
