Milkfish Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Milkfish

Milkfish

Her feet are tied in loops
-pendulum by ankles
-hands free and in search
-her low head is lowered
-she feels pain all over

A pot is filled with milk
-on fire, is heated, to degree
-she searches, looks around

If let go her head is in the milk
-and if raised hurt her nerves
-therefore she is drowned
-to neck, head in the milk
-in the milk she drunk
-and brain of milkfish

She is milk in body and brain!
