Mind Openeer Poem by Gangadharan nair Pulingat..

Mind Openeer

I knows the things I lost
The past days of happy moments
The childish plays of younger ages
The good friends of village that I lost
The good friendship of older people
The wise counsels that I got from elders
The leaky umbrella that saved me from rain
The old school bag that I carried my books
I knows the past, present, and not future
I know the friends changed their mood
Their amusement and jokes that I liked
Here now I remember my good old days
The good showering rains under open sky
The child plays in village fields
The scorpions, snakes, came as a threat
The heavy out pours of rain and muddy water
The flooded river, fearful and speedy flow
The carcasses that carried by her to sea
She is still pretty and young but polluted
The change of her flow in wild flood
She curses us on our present aggressions
Saying I gave you all but you all disturbed me
You people made me a place to dumb waste
My attempts and warning slowly forgetting
But a day I will revenge you all
I will change my course of flow in your habitat
Don't be make me fool all times she boasts
I remember the past and knows the present
But not to predict the future at all
Greatness comes from the conscience first.
